We are looking for an Experienced Project Manager.  If you share the same passion as we do for 3D technology, then this is a great opportunity to work with a like-minded and dynamic team managing project lifecycles for innovative commercial solutions shaping our future.

Fuel3D develops innovative 3D scanning solutions for leading global brands and pioneering organisations. Our technology is re-defining solutions and inspiring better experiences across a wide range of industry sectors from medical research to security and retail. Born out of Oxford University, Fuel3D has offices in Oxford, UK and Greenville in North America.

This Project Manager position is crucial to our business growth plan and you should love the idea of being in charge of challenging projects, overviewing all the allocated resources in respect of hardware, software, quality, supply chain, logistics and manufacturing areas. You will have full accountability for project planning, execution, control and close out phases.

There is no typical day here at Fuel3D, but it will look something like this:

  • Preparing and presenting compelling technical pitches with regard to new and ongoing projects to a diverse range of audiences and cultures
  • Negotiating specifications and management of new project implementations
  • Using planning and tracking tools such as MS Project and Jira to develop project plans with relevant teams
  • Managing major subcontracts and material procurement to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Developing and maintaining an appropriate risk management plan
  • Project controlling and reporting, demonstrating cost schedule and performance against budget
  • Liaising with marketing and sales teams to develop a captivating product launch plan

  • enjoy understanding customer requirements and turning them into solutions
  • deliver solutions, on time and within budget
  • are well organised and handle priorities accordingly
  • easily deal with constant changes
  • have a mechanical or electronic background
  • have an understanding of how software functions
  • have an understanding of product development
  • have hands-on experience in project management / techniques

Knowledge of one or more of the following:

  • Experience with Project Management standard (PMI and/or Prince2)
  • Full literacy in MS Project as well as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Agile development approach

Desirable but not mandatory

  • Bachelor’s degree in the engineering related areas (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics and Software)
