Full Stack Developer / Azure

This is a great opportunity to be at the forefront of the latest cloud based cutting-edge technologies and further develop your tech knowledge and skills along the way.

You’ll join a team responsible for rolling out regular releases to several web, mobile and desktop applications.  We make heavy use of Visual Studio TFS for backlog and issue tracking.  We aren’t afraid of trying new technology and make a point of regularly evaluating new tooling, libraries and frameworks.

You will be working in a dynamic and challenging environment alongside experts, researchers and developers from a variety of fields that cover areas of Machine Learning, 3D Image reconstruction and measurement.   

Role Overview

At a high level you'll be responsible for:

  • designing and implementing new features and functionality for both new and existing web, mobile, and desktop applications
  • conducting R&D with new libraries, frameworks, and technologies
  • reviewing code and mentoring junior level developers
  • fixing bugs (nobody likes it, but we’ve all got to do it)
  • contributing to product documentation
  • responding to technical questions from customers
  • communicating openly and effectively with co-workers and customers

We utilise agile methodologies and typically follow a 2-week release cadence. You are expected to participate in our daily scrum meetings.

Essential Skills / Experience 

  • Experience of delivery of 2 or 3 cloud-based projects, end to end
  • Azure Service Fabric SDK
  • C#
  • Angular 6+
  • Entity Framework 2.1
  • Proactive, team player passionate about our technology
  • BSc Computer Science or similar relevant qualification / or relevant work experience
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK

 Knowledge of one or more of the following would be great but are certainly not a deal breaker 

  • Azure Storage (Blob, Queues, Azure Table)
  • Azure SQL DB
  • Cosmos DB
  • Azure Search
